Receptionist
We are looking to recruit a receptionist with excellent customer service skills to take charge of our reception area. It is essential that good first impressions are created to the wide variety of people who visit Bridgeway.
The Receptionist plays a key role within the Business Support Services Team which supports all departments within the company. You will take responsibility for ensuring the reception area and training rooms are continually tidy and organised, additionally you will be required to set up for internal and external client meetings including the arrangements of refreshments where necessary.
You will be the main point of contact for all reception duties including dealing with post, email, faxes, scanning and shredding where required. In addition you may also be involved with other Business Support Services activities which include ;fleet administration, purchase orders, invoices, booking of accommodation, HR administrative duties including inputting annual leave and sickness data etc.
The ideal candidate will work well under pressure and have the accuracy, speed and ability to meet tight deadlines. The individual must be flexible in their approach to work and be able to work alone or within a team environment.
Experience in Microsoft Office is essential, as is an excellent telephone manner.

Survey Technicians

Bridgeway Consulting are seeking to recruit trainee Survey Technicians who will assist in daily survey activities both on site and in the office. You will form an integral part of a delivery focussed team assisting Lead Surveyors during all project stages.
This position provides an excellent opportunity for candidates who would like to start their career in the geomatics (surveying) industry, we are looking for candidates with excellent mathematical and technical skills who enjoy working outdoors.
The role involves:
- topographical surveys
- railway alignment surveys
- land and highway surveys
- railway gauging surveys
- structural movement monitoring
- setting out and as built surveys
- internal building and elevation surveys
The above will involve the use of total stations, digital and automatic levels, GPS static and kinematic equipment, rail specific gauging equipment and 3D high definition laser scanning equipment.
The successful candidate will:
- Possess excellent mathematical and technical skills - preferably A Level or equivalent grade A – C in mathematics and either geography or a Science
- enjoy working outdoors
- be highly interested and willing to develop and progress his/her career in a geomatics (surveying) industry
- have good communication skills
- have a flexible and committed attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- have good attention to detail
- have basic IT skills to include MS Office
The following is not required but will prove advantageous:
- knowledge of AutoCAD, Bentley Microstation or other Computer Aided Design software
- full UK driving licence
Previous experience (particularly within the rail sector) would be preferred, but is not essential as full training can be provided for the right candidates.
The Survey Technician position is Nottingham based, however it will include UK wide travel on a regular basis. 3 month temporary contract will be initially offered potentially leading to a permanent position.
