We have work available in the West Country (ideally candidates will be located between Exeter and Truro), Wales and Marches and the Midlands.
You must have a valid driving licence, be willing to travel and have a flexible approach to work as you will be required to work nights and weekends.
The work is available on a contract for services basis and we offer competitive rates of pay.

Senior Project Manager (Structures)
Bridgeway is seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Project Manager to provide leadership and technical guidance within the Structures discipline of the Consultancy Services Department.
The Structures team carry out work on civil and building structures against a nationwide portfolio of clients. Works include structural examination, assessment and consultancy roles, often in challenging environments. The team also encompasses niche disciplines such as diving, roped access and confined spaces as part of the service provision.
The team is currently delivering work within the Rail, Highways and Waterways sectors and experience in the delivery of both turn-key and bespoke projects in these market sectors will be advantageous.
The successful candidate for this role will have demonstrable leadership, communication and management skills, enabling them to motivate reporting technical staff involved in the delivery of current projects. The post-holder will be required to liaise effectively with a wide range of clients and have proven commercial ability.
It is anticipated that the successful applicant will be educated to degree level in Civil/Structural Engineering and have achieved significant post-graduate experience. The role will also include responsibility for ensuring technical assurance and quality standards of deliverable work – Chartered status MICE/MIStructE (or approaching) is preferable.

Engineer (Roped Access IRATA Level 3) – Engineering Services
As part of the continued growth of the Engineering Services Department, An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and dynamic individuals to join the specialist access team. We have an immediate full time vacancy for Engineers holding IRATA Level 3 based at our Beeston Office, Nottingham.
Candidates must possess good organisational skills and the desire to support the growth and development of the Department.
Reporting to the respective Associate Director, the post will form an integral part of a delivery focussed team with exposure to both site based activities and technical reporting within the office. The successful candidate will receive industry approved training and excellent development opportunities within the business.
The successful applicants will be involved in:
• Condition based reporting against a wide range of Civil Engineering infrastructure including; Bridges, Culverts, Retaining walls, Viaducts, Masts and Tunnels
• Engineering works including installation, maintenance and investigation of new/existing infrastructure.
• Business development to promote the services of the team/department
Site work will be balanced with office duties including the preparation of technical reports, drawings and documents.
In addition to involvement in mainstream Engineering Services, there are opportunities to assist in the delivery of specialist services such as Diving, Confined spaces and CCTV.
The ideal candidate will:
• possess prerequisite IRATA Level 3 competency and experience in engineering works
• have good written skills and the ability to produce technical report
• possess good communication skills
• have a flexible and committed attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
• have good attention to detail
• hold a full UK driving license
• Have IT skills including Microsoft Office suite
Experience within the rail sector would be a distinct advantage, although full training will be provided to a level appropriate to the post.

Engineering Technician (Structures)
As part of the continued growth of the Engineering Services Department, Bridgeway is seeking to recruit Engineering Technicians.
The post will be based within the Examinations team and will assist in the delivery of structural examination, testing and investigation services.
Reporting to Senior Engineering staff, the post will form an integral part of a delivery focussed team with exposure to both site based activities and technical reporting within the office. The successful candidate will receive industry approved training and excellent development opportunities within the business.
The successful applicants will be involved in:
• Condition based reporting against a wide range of Civil Engineering infrastructure including; Bridges, Culverts, Retaining walls, Viaducts, Tunnels and Subways
• The preparation of Technical reports
• Structural monitoring
• Dilapidation surveys
Training in examination techniques will be provided to nationally recognised standards. In addition to standard examination techniques, technicians will assist in the delivery of specialist examination services such as Diving, Confined spaces, CCTV and Roped Access.
The ideal candidate will:
• possess some experience in a related discipline
• have good written skills and the ability to produce technical report
• possess good communication skills
• have a flexible and committed attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
• have good attention to detail
• hold a full UK driving license
• Have IT skills including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
Experience within the rail sector would be a distinct advantage although full training will be provided to a level appropriate to the post.
This is initially a temporary 3 month contract potentially leading to a permanent position.
